Dr. Kate Holthaus
Dr. Kate Holthaus graduated from Duchesne Academy and later earned her Bachelors of Science in Neuroscience and graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Nebraska Omaha.
Dr. Kate Holthaus is an Omaha native who is devoted to providing exceptional eye care to her hometown. Dr. Holthaus earned her Doctorate of Optometry degree from the Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She was awarded the Certificate of Clinical Excellence upon graduation and earned Most Outstanding Student Award in 2017. Dr. Holthaus was an active member of the Beta Sigma Kamma optometric honors fraternity, Cornea and Contact Lens Society, American Optometric Student Association, and Student Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity. She completed an optometric mission trip to Roatan Honduras in 2018 and continues to give back to the community by being involved with the Millard Lions Club and Nebraska Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity. She is an active member of the American and Nebraska Optometric Associations and provides no-cost InfantSEE exams for infants between 6-12 months of age.
Dr. Holthaus offers a wide range of services, including routine eye exams for children and adults and soft and specialty contact lens evaluations. She also provides LASIK and cataract evaluations, glaucoma exams, macular degeneration management, diabetic exams, and emergency eye care. She has a particular interest in the treatment and management of dry eye disease and specialty contact lenses.
Dr. Holthaus absolutely loves the Omaha community and enjoys exploring everything the city has to offer. She consistently looks for ways to serve the community and give back to her hometown. She and her husband, Dr. Jared Holthaus, enjoy everything outdoors and cheering on the Creighton Bluejays!

David has over 28 years of experience, ranging from wholesale laboratory to patient care.
After graduating with an associate degree in Opticianary, he earned his ABO and CPO certifications.
David is from Omaha, Neb. and has been wearing glasses for fourteen years. He loves his OGI® frames with Varilux® digital fit lenses.
He is a fan of the Atlanta Falcons and the Detroit Tigers. David loves the restaurant Block 16. Our family likes to support local, and the poutine burrito is just amazing! The one thing David can’t go without is Dr. Pepper and spicy foods.
David enjoys photography, jazz music, and preparing meals for his family in their backyard kitchen.
David has been married for 19 years. He and his wife have two beautiful daughters.
