Dr. Katelyn Keefer is an optometrist at Vision Specialists’ 156th & Maple and Council Bluffs locations. She loves providing comprehensive eye care with the latest technology to patients of all ages. Dr. Keefer especially enjoys working with the pediatric population, making sure kids have the best vision possible during critical years of learning and development.

Dr. Keefer graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Biology in 2016 before receiving her doctorate from Southern College of Optometry in 2020.

Get to Know Dr. Keefer
Originally from Fort Wayne, Indiana, Dr. Keefer grew up with a love for health care and learning about how the human body works. In college, she was involved in research on the cornea and became increasingly interested in learning more about eye health and vision. Dr. Keefer met her husband, Kyle, in optometry school and settled in Omaha close to family and friends. In their free time, you can catch them trying new restaurants and checking out community events around the city.
