Dr. Jordan Keith
Dr. Jordan Keith is an accomplished optometrist at Vision Specialists in 156th & West Maple and Papillion. Having been named one of Newsweek’s “America's Best Eye Doctors” and Minnesota’s “Young Optometrist of the Year,” he is respected in the field and enjoys using his extensive teaching background to educate both optometrists and patients alike.
Experience
Dr. Keith received his undergraduate degree in Biology at Minot State University and earned his Doctor of Optometry from the Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, OR. After completing his residency in ocular disease at the Kansas City VA Medical Center, Dr. Keith joined the faculty at the Illinois College of Optometry (ICO) in Chicago, where he taught optometry students and residents and served as Chief of Eyecare Services at the Sidney Hillman Health Center, a Community Health Center. After five years at ICO, he joined the Eye Care Center, a private practice in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro for eight years before joining Vision Specialists.
As part of his dedication to sharing his expertise, Dr. Keith helps optometry students prepare for their national board exams with KMK Optometry, a company co-founded by Dr. Kyle Cheatham (who also founded Vision Specialists) and used by over 90% of optometry students. As a long-time KMK instructor, Dr. Keith taught board prep in the classroom for over a decade, Co-Founded KMK Optometry Coaching to help students who struggle with their boards, served as KMK’s Chief Content Officer, and is currently Vice President for Academic Partnerships & Student Success.
Dr. Keith has also taught continuing education to practicing optometrists in North America and Australia and authored chapters in a handbook for practicing eye doctors.
In surveys, vision is routinely ranked the #1 sense people are most afraid to lose. Optometry is the primary gatekeeper that preserves vision, and Dr. Keith has served various volunteer roles/is a member of organizations that support the profession and vision for all Americans.

Dr. Keith
Originally from the small farm community of Sherwood, ND (population 200), Dr. Keith’s education and career have taken him all over the country. From small towns like Sherwood, ND, and Minot, ND, to big cities like Portland, OR, Kansas City, MO, Chicago, IL, Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN, and now Omaha, NE, every stop has felt like home with incredible people and new activities to explore. His wife, Megan, and their three children, Willa, Henry, and Winston, love traveling, particularly to see family in the states of Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Arizona, California, and New York.
When he’s not personally connecting with his patients, Dr. Keith enjoys exploring his local community to find hidden gems across the metro and beyond. Their family favorites are the Old Market, farmer’s markets, theaters, Vala’s Pumpkin Patch, THE Zoo, and walking and biking on the trails near Lake Zorinsky.
