Experience
After completing his B.S. in Biology from Kansas State University with cum laude honors, Dr. Holthaus earned his Doctor of Optometry from Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry, graduating among the top of his class. He went on to serve the Cherokee Nation and at the Muskogee, Oklahoma Veteran’s Affairs, gaining experience in treating patients with a diverse set of needs.

Dr. Holthaus has made Omaha his home and is eager to get even more involved in volunteering and community work. He is an active member of the Greater Omaha Chamber and Volunteering Optometric Services for Humanity International, participating in both local work and mission trips. Dr. Holthaus loves working under the same roof as his wife, Dr. Kate Holthaus, at the 156th & West Maple office. When he’s not taking care of his patients’ eyes, Dr. Holthaus enjoys exploring the city, getting outdoors, traveling, and staying fit.

Great customer service. Incredible staff. I really love the environment of this facility. From the time I walked in the door (greeted by Maddie who offered basically a little of everything to drink) to Corrie with the the cool technology machines, to Dr. Jared, everything felt seamless. He was very professional, courteous and efficient. Thomas helped me pick a pair of glasses that I couldn't be more proud to wear. I took a handful of Dr. Jared's business cards and will be giving them out to all of my family and co-workers. These folks get it. Thanks again.
